The Cambodia Charitable Trust was established to assist the Cambodian people from the trap of extreme poverty, to raise international awareness of human rights issues and to provide the Cambodian children with housing, health and education.
Poverty prevents children gaining an education and the Trust helps by providing the educational materials required. A school uniform costs US$6, and stationery per child costs around US$4.
We are working to improve the health of the children that attend the schools we support. Health care in Cambodia is very basic and often unreachable to many.
What if not having sanitary supplies meant DAYS without school? Days of isolation?
Women menstruate 60 days, or 2 months a year. We help girls gain access to quality sustainable feminine hygiene, vital health knowledge, and income-generation opportunities. Days for Girls kits last 2-4 years, which can earn back up to 240 days of opportunity.
